Note To Self

Dear Self:

It's pretty slick that you are frugal. I actually really like that about you. You search for a good deal, and won't buy anything unless its on sale. However, I think there is being frugal and then there is being a cheap-skate. I think you have moved 100% into the cheap-skate category.

Giving yourself a pedicure at home is fine. But, giving yourself a home pedicure without one of these? Bad idea. Very very bad idea. You will probably end up cutting your foot, and it will bleed. A lot. And you probably will need stitches, only you're too embarrassed to go to the ER to get the stitches because then you would have to tell them HOW you cut yourself.

Yeah.

Then it would no longer be speculation about you being a cheap-skate, but a proven fact. The Doctor would laugh at you... and tell you $30 bucks is not THAT much money... You're a cheap-skate.

Next time you get the urge to give yourself a home-pedicure? Step away from the foot soaker. Turn around and run. Run to the nearest Salon and just fork out the cash to get the dang pedicure. $30 bucks is totally worth it-- 'cause then you can still walk. And not have throbbing pain. And not bleed. Like everywhere. Cause nothing puts a damper on the holiday spirit like blood does.

Just sayin'.

Thanks,
Motherboard

    AAAH, OOOW.

Be like me and just have super ugly feet that rarely see a file thingy of any type. It's safer that way...

okay. i used one of these once, even grosser i let my niece do the busy work. she is 6, you can make kids this age do this kind of stuff. to make things grosser, i thought i would blog it afterward.

she happened to say at the end of the procedure [yes it was]. "look, sawdust."

okay, i may just have to blog that!

I hope your tootsies feel better soon!!! I have problems with cracked feet once in awhile and I have to grab some bag balm or udder butter and slathering it on my feet....yes, it is for the cow's udders, but it works great!!!

Ouch! I hope it heals quickly. I've never had a pedi. Mostly because of the scary Dateline that I saw on this BAD, SCARY illness you can contract if they don't clean out their foot soaker areas. So not only am I a cheap skate but I'm a sissy cheap skate as well.

I love my ped egg! Did you cut it with that or were you using something else?

  17. Motherboard said...

If only. IF ONLY! I had used the dang Pedi-egg. My foot would not be throbbing right now.

Yes. I am a complete 'tard. I used something else. And it was SHARP!

There is nothing greater (well, maybe a massage) than getting the toes done by a professional. The massage chair is one of the perks! I discovered pedicures way too late in life - I should have done them years ago. Now, I'm hooked - once a month for fab looking feet!

Sorry you hurt yourself. No more sharp instruments allowed!

Pedicure? That word does not exist in my vocabulary. So I think you should Sue, too.

And p.s. -- thanks for the MMB promotion! Everyone needs a little feng shui every now and then!

    Ouch!! Sorry you cut yourself.
I'm in cheapskate territory with you, but I would love to get one of those pedi-eggs. Let me know how it works if you try it out--can't be worse than whatever you did I hope.

So, I really have tried to do home pedicures... mostly it looks like my 2 year old painted my toes...

I love real ones, but oooohhh the money... don't want to spend it.
