I JUST did EXACTLY what you JUST described with kids and trick-or-treating. Both boys were saying they wanted to go home, but we pushed on for another half hour.

And I use commas exactly as you do. To make the reader take a pause where I take a pause. Superman does not believe in commas. IT DRIVES ME CRAZY. I can't understand what he's saying with out THE MOST IMPORTANT PUNCTUATION MARK.

My dad's business partner when I was little was a nudist...for real. And they were Jewish too, I remember thinking that was funny. They always invited us to come to their activities, we always declined. We always invited them to our LDS activities, and they always declined...it was a good friendship though :)

Your first sentiment is the reason my SIL does NOT celebrate Halloween. It goes against all her principles.

I, however, do not have any principles. I am like you. In many ways, I'm discovering. Except for the fact that I live in Dentist Land, and every other house gives away toothbrushes or pretzels or even, yes, good ol' fashioned apples. We have to drive to another neighborhood to actually get sugar!

And how the HECK am I supposed to get through this night? Just the smell of chocolate is going to send me over the edge!!!
