Tamale Soup - What's For Dinner Tonight

1 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green
bell pepper, chopped
2(16-ounce) cans diced tomatoes in juice, undrained
2 (15-ounce) cans pinto beans, undrained*
1 (16-ounce) can yellow cream-style corn (I usually put in 2 cans)
1 (16-ounce) can Beef Broth
2 (16-ounce) cans tamales, unwrapped and cut into 1-inch pieces**
  1. Brown the ground beef with the onions and bell pepper; drain.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer covered for 10 minutes or 2 hours in crock pot.
  3. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream and Frito Chips. 
Makes 8 servings.

*Black or kidney beans may be substituted, if desired.
