Bucket Filler

Tuesday, September 02, 2008

"Like the cup that runneth over, a full bucket gives us a positive outlook and renewed energy. Every drop in that bucket makes us stronger and more optimistic.

But an empty bucket destroys our outlook, saps our energy, and undermines our will. That's why every time someone dips from our bucket, it hurts us.

So we face a choice every moment of every day: We can fill another persons bucket, or we can dip from them. It's an important choice- one that profoundly influences our relationships, productivity, health and happiness." - Jan's Blog

What is this whole bucket filler business? Jan, my friend, did a daily bucket filler on her blog. It was a nice reminder for me, that no matter how much I liked to think that the world revolved around me, it really does not.
So, continuing on in Jan's project - that she tossed to me! - I am offering to you a simple "bucket filler." Small and simple ways for you to fill not only your bucket, but others buckets as well. I will post for the month of September, and toss the bucket to someone else for October! Lets see how long we can keep tossing the bucket to each other!

People in the service industry are often used as punching bags. When you encounter them today, whether at the grocery store, post office, gas station or fast food joint... Smile, call them by name (look at their name tag), and say thank you.
