The dream

I am proud of my country today. Regardless of who you voted for, or what your political views are-- this was an historic event! We can tell our children and grandchildren-- when they are learning about this in school-- We were there. We saw it happen.

It was emotional for me to watch. I am proud of my country. We have come a long, long way.

If you have never watched MLK's entire speech-- Here it is. This was history-- back then. And last night my friends, we saw history being made again. I feel proud. (if you don't want to watch the whole thing-- then start at 5:45-- it is moving!It makes me a little verklempt!)

This election was the most participated in election in 100 years-- since 1908 when women AND blacks could not vote! We had 64% voter turnout-- that is 1% less than in 1908. People cared and people could see that this was an important event!

"Let freedom ring"... And last night, it did.
